Sargadelos and Estrella Galicia present the Genesis column

The successful history of collaboration between these iconic Galician companies dates back to the 1990s and now reaches a new milestone with the launch of this column , which is now appearing in hospitality venues across the country.

Design

The Genesis column is handcrafted at the Sargadelos factory. It consists of three porcelain parts that fit together and house the mechanisms necessary for the perfect draft of beer . Its base module is a hexagon , a polygon with 6 equal sides and 6 angles, which multiplies to form a 6-height modular system inspired by the 6-pointed star , the protective emblem of the ancient brewers' guild .

Each of its edges thus symbolizes the processes (malting, cooking, fermentation) and the elements (air, water, and fire) necessary for making beer . Its production is very complex, as it is one of the largest elements vitrified in the Sargadelos kilns. This high-temperature firing process gives the piece unbeatable characteristics, such as hardness and resistance , zero porosity , and its whiteness .

A long history of success

The collaborative relationship between Estrella Galicia and Sargadelos dates back to the 90s and had its first launch with the Esfinge column in 1998. The success of the brewery's porcelain taps meant that their use quickly spread to a wide range of hospitality venues, and the first column was followed by others such as the Sibila , the Zigurat , the Esfinge de Oro and the Tradición .

Today, Sargadelos ' beer service columns for Estrella Galicia have become iconic elements that represent a shared way of life around craftsmanship , both in beer brewing and porcelain production. This collaboration has gone far beyond the columns, and other elements have been created together, such as beer mugs , trophies , replicas of Estrella Galicia bottles or cans , and the renowned Growler .
